People depend on soil to grow their food in, or graze their animals on. Unfortunately, modern farming leads to massive soil damage as deep ploughing opens it up to both rain and wind. Millions of tons of soil disappear from farmers' fields every year. So Joseph is definitely doing the right thing here, don't you think?
