Dear Ellie: I am very glad you will 'open up your gob and be a chatterbox'
about energy -- and about saving it! I'm really pleased that you found
lots of useful stuff on my website. |
Hi, I think this site is really awesome. My teacher is always telling
us these kind of things. I think it is important to reduce global
warming, because penguins and polar bears are not surviving because
the ice is melting I wrote a poem.
GLOBAL WARMING
Global warming is the reason for little snow,
It happens because where all the methane gas goes.
The polar bears in Antarctica don’t know what to think
Because the ice melts in a blink.
Soon the penguins’ winters will be summer
Because the exhaust from our SUV’s and hummers.
It happens because the smoke stacks
Now the ice in Antarctica lacks
I tell you this because the animals need a solution
From this awful pollution
Thanks, a teen concerned about global warming (November 2007) |
 |
I liked your poem so much I put it in my Gallery.
And of course I'm really glad you liked my site so much. Thanks for
writing to tell me! PS. I changed one word in your poem. There aren't
any polar bears in the Antarctic. They're only to be found in the
Arctic. Just as well for penguins for I'm sure they'd eat us! |
hi

spread awareness here. i really liked the way you've simplified everything...

Hello Ruchi! I'm so pleased you like my site. Like you, I hope children
keep finding my site and using it to help them understand the big
issues which face us all around the world today. Wouldn't it be wonderful
if we did all draw together and live on a happy planet and in harmony
with it!

Hi my name is romain I live in South Africa (November 2007) |
| |
Hello Romain. I live mostly in the south Atlantic Ocean. |
My
name is Selma.I am seven years old.I realy am enjoying your website
Tiki.Meggie is a friend of mine she told me about your website it
is very good and even excellent. She wrote your website on a peace
of paper. And now i realy agree with you.Did you know that me and Meggie
are in the same school so we are doing something for the world! This
is what we are doing: We are saving the trees! We call are selfs the
saving tree society. There is a man in are school who has two trees
that are trimmed like crazy.Every day me and Meggie stand at the fence
and look with a sad face at his trees. One day we found a peace of
wood that looked like cut down with a ax we were shur that it was
not on the ground by it self because it was flat on both sides. We
tried to get it from the other side of the fence we could not.The
recess bell rang we did not go a superviser came and asked what we
were doing we told her what wewere trying to do she got it for us
wetook it and went to line up at free time we colourd it and wrote
do not cut down trees on it.the next recess we
went to the mans house and Meggie ran out the fence and i looked that
no superviser was looking. Meggie put it write infront his steps i
looked and i saw he had a cement walk 3 meters fat and 4 meters long
so now we are trying to do something about it. (October 2007) |
 |
Dear Selma: I'm very pleased you like my website and that Meggie does
too. I'm even more pleased that you're doing something for the world
and saving trees. That's not easy. Is there anywhere you and your
Saving Tree Society could plant some trees? With the help of your
supervisor perhaps? Great to hear from you! |
hi i
love your site!!! (October 2007) |
| |
Thank you! And thanks for your joke too. |
Hey
Tiki — I'm a teacher who works with teachers in East Los Angeles
and South Central Los Angeles. We are creating units for grades 4 to
12 for students of all abilities — special education, English
language learners, college bound. All of our students gave great minds
that need engaging lessons. I have just discovered your site. It's great.
Have you read Ishmael by Dan Quinn? I think that you and Ishmael share
a common point of view: we humans arrogantly think we have a superior
consciousness than you or the other peoples of the world who don't have
flush toilets. I hope that you continue your website. The thoughtful
commentary, detailed information, delightful illustrations are just
what our students and we need. Thank you. Cheers, Charlotte Higuchi
(October 2007) |
 |
Dear Charlotte: I'm delighted you've discovered my site! I have every
intention of continuing with it. I hope your students find it as engaging
as you have. I have not read Ishmael but I shall do so on your recommendation.
Yes, many humans are very arrogant in their attitude to other people
and other life so it's always a pleasure to meet someone like you
who's not like that! |
thanks tiki it was really informative to go through your report on pollution,it
was so beautifully presented that i have no wrds to express my self
for the same, thanks again. chaitali (October 2007) |
| |
Dear Chaitali: Thank you for your kind email. I'm so pleased that
you found my Pollution Guide useful and well presented. That's what
I aim to do but it's nice to be told I've been successful!
|

 |
Dear

seen my page of Things To Do to help? Do tell your friends! |

  |
Dear Madeleine: I am very pleased you find my climate change pages
so fab. I think you sound pretty fab yourself, what with telling your
friends, doing stuff to help and actually writing and publishing a
book. I can hardly believe you're only 7! Good for you and your dad,
I say. Well done and keep it up. When your book is published, I'd
really like to know so I can get a copy. |

and quite understand how difficult it is to know how to get started.
My guides have plenty of ideas and many of the linked sites at the

my name
is maggie, and I am a nine year old penguin ologist,I love penguins and
I have a penguin friend his name is mumble, and I also collect peguins
too.I think your site is very interesting, there is a virtual pet web
site called neopets.com establised in 1999 and the penguin-based pet
is called a bruce and another pet site called marapets.com and thier
penguin is called a newth and a virtual penguin website called club
penguin and its SOOO COOL! and...I live in south carolina and there
is an out door mall called tanger outlets and I love going there, what
kind of malls do you have in antartica? do you have yahoo instant messageing?
plz wright bk! (August 2007) |
| |
Dear Maggie: You ARE keen on penguins, aren't you!! There aren't any
malls in the Antarctic. Malls are made by people for people and there
are hardly any people on that icy continent, except for a few scientists
studying the rocks, the ice, weather systems and the few animals which
can survive there - such as penguins. I don't have instant messaging.
Sorry. |
Hi Tiki!
My name is Mia, I'm 15 and I'm from the Philippines. I stumble over
your site after signing up at Nick2015.com and I find your site pretty
cool. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for making a site like that,
it surely gives people and children a lot of information and made
us aware of what is currently happening around us.
I've always been a sucker for sites like yours,
I am eager to know more about what is happening in the world today
like pollution, climate change, food shortage, education and animal
welfare. I really like your site and I have even bookmarked it in
my browser.
Keep up the good work Tiki and thank you for spreading
very interesting information. God Bless, Mia (August 2007) |
 |
Dear Mia: I was very happy to have your lovely message today. Thank
you! I will try and 'keep up the good work' because kind people like
you make it clear to me that what I do is worthwhile. |
